Yep thats right, cases could be the ultimate fix to the widely reported problem with the new iPhone 4. A test has been carried out with the Bumper Case and it seems to work well. Two things worth noting though, Not Everyone Has This Issue, and Apple claim its only a software issue, so with a small software update the issue should be fixed.

The DIY iPhone Revolver Case was the work of  Juniortan from Thingiverse, and he printed all the parts for this unique iPhone case on a 3D printer, and then all the parts were glued together.
